The big difference in performance between the two is the fact that the Road Glide’s fairing is frame mounted and the Street Glide’s fairing is mounted to the front end. Some people don’t like the heaviness (heavier compared to the Road Glide) of the Street Glide’s front end.
The Fairing on the Street Glide is a Batwing fairing, attached to the forks, and turns with the bars, single headlight. Wind blocking about the same, with stock bars, both behind fairing, seat is the same I believe.

Several sections of road during our SaddleSore 1000 had us battling heavy crosswinds, which brought to light a difference between the bikes. In these situations, the Road Glide remained rock steady as it leaned into the onslaught. The Electra Glide, however, battled with the crosswinds a bit.
I own and love a 2011 Road Glide Ultra. 15,000 miles so far without a stumble. The " stree glide" has a dropped ass and less cornering clearance. Road Glide and Road King have same chassis, shock length, kinda the same seat.
